I’m a qualified teacher and specialist SEN tutor with 16+ years’ experience across mainstream and specialist settings, including leading the Primary Support Base in a PRU and teaching at a specialist school for the Deaf. I tutor English and Maths from Y1–Y8, supporting both learners who need to close gaps and high achievers seeking stretch; I build confidence by breaking learning into small, achievable steps, celebrating quick wins, embedding simple study routines, and using calm, trauma-informed strategies so every child feels safe to try, make mistakes, and improve. My approach begins with a gentle diagnostic, followed by a personalised plan with clear goals, engaging multisensory teaching, and regular check-ins with transparent progress updates. I hold a Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Inclusive Education, and in 2021 I was part of the team that won the National Teaching Award for Online Teaching.
