My name is Rabeea, I am a committed, enthusiastic and patient tutor with private tutoring experience of around 5 years. I have graduated with a degree of Bachelors in Dental Surgery from de’Montmorency College of Dentistry, Pakistan. Before that I completed my GCSE A levels in sciences and urdu language from Lahore Grammar School. I moved to the UK after completing my Postgraduate Specialist Training program in dentistry and am currently unemployed so have decided to continue tutoring full time for a while. I secured a band 8.0 in IELTS so am fully capable of fluent communication in English language as well. I can tutor English up to O levels. I love english and would thoroughly enjoy teaching it to anybody. Having English as the major medium of education during all of my schooling and having a professional degree which was taught in English, I feel confident I can help you learn this subject on an expert level.

During my first lesson, I go through the student’s curriculum so that we can have a discussion about their expectations, the areas they want to improve in and their overall goals.

My teaching would be mostly individually tailored, taking into account each student’s preferences as well. A friendly interactive session about the subject, including a bit of some off topic engaging conversation is basically my style. This helps keep the students interested and willing to learn more.

For GCSE English, we can do creative writing, practice essays, compositions, comprehension passages along with their Q&A, and grammar practice exercises. I usually make my students practice as much as possible because that is what really builds their skills and confidence in the long term. So be prepared for lots of past paper practice sessions as well. From exam point of view, past paper practice and solving techniques are the best way to polish what you have learned so that’s my focus.

Throughout our sessions I will focus on the syllabus and exam pattern so my teaching will be basically driven by these two key aspects of the subject. I will give my students great tips and methods to retain what they learn and sit confidently for their exam.
