As a Modern Languages teacher in training with a Master’s in Language Education from the University of Edinburgh, I bring both academic insight and classroom experience to every lesson. I currently teach Spanish and French at a secondary school in North London, focusing on GCSE and A-Level exam preparation. I also offer beginner and intermediate Mandarin lessons, drawing from my native fluency and deep cultural knowledge.

My lessons are personalised, well-structured, and student-led. I begin each session with a brief recap or warm-up to activate prior knowledge. We then explore a specific topic—this might be grammar (e.g., verb tenses), vocabulary themes (e.g., family, holidays), or exam-style reading/listening practice—depending on your learning goals. Speaking and pronunciation are always encouraged in a supportive, relaxed environment that promotes growth.

I use interactive tools like games, visuals, roleplays, and real-life scenarios to help you apply what you learn. I also break down complex grammar in a clear and accessible way—many of my students say grammar is my strength! For Mandarin learners, lessons include speaking, Pinyin, character recognition, and cultural topics to build a solid foundation for long-term success. I taught Mandarin Chinese classes to Spanish students in Barcelona before and accumulated many experiences in teaching young students from the beginning level.
