I believe the best way to tutor someone is to first discover what they are struggling with most and go through it slowly to ensure that they fully understand once we are done with the session. I like to teach the technicalities of a subject rather than just how to get the right answer because knowing the right answer without knowing why it is the right answer does not help with actually learning the subject. I am a person with a lot patience and I do not believe shouting is a conducive way to teach anyone anything so I will never shout at my students for not understanding something, I will simply keep on explaining until they understand. People are different and they learn at different paces so I believe that it is important for me to understand my student's learning pace and discover which learning methods work for them. I don't use the same teaching method for everyone for that reason. I try to make lessons fun because I have discovered from tutoring my little cousins that it is much easier to learn something when you're not in a stressful environment and you feel relaxed. When I teach things that need to be memorized, I make use of mnemonics that correlate with the student's interest so that it is easier for them to remember. I have found that making up little songs is especially helpful to little children's learning and sometimes even older children as well. My lessons are not too strict, we will just have a fun time while also learning.
