I have a lot of experience in the tuition industry with a variety of school-aged students from ages 11-16. I have taught students studying for 11+ and their GCSE's. With extensive knowledge of subject areas in the core subjects of Maths, English and Sciences I can provide a comprehensive understanding of subject topics to any student.
My initial lessons usually include a diagnostic test to see which areas are needing to be worked on (provided that this information is not given prior to a lesson)
Consequently, lessons will be tailored based on the student's learning profile to tackle key topic areas that they struggle with.
The dynamic of my lessons are friendly, I establish rapport with my students to make sure that they are comfortable in learning with me through asking any questions that they feel are necessary for their learning - no question is silly!
As someone who has struggled with learning myself, I believe that I have the ability to cater towards a large array of learning styles. In school I struggled to pay attention and found that I needed a more hands-on approach to learn certain subjects, especially with sciences. These experiences speak of my credibility in conjunction with my credentials of recieving grades 7+ in the core subjects at GCSE.
Furthermore, I am studying Biochemistry at University, which allows me to be a better fit at teaching the sciences comprehensively.
