I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping others understand and feel confident in subjects that can seem challenging at first. Having recently completed my A-Levels, I know how overwhelming exams and coursework can be, and I want to use my experience to support students going through the same journey. Teaching allows me to share the strategies and techniques that worked for me, while also encouraging a deeper interest in science and maths. I have previous experience in mentoring younger students in my school for GCSE sciences and maths. It’s incredibly rewarding to see someone have that “lightbulb” moment, and I’m passionate about making learning feel less stressful and more achievable for every student.
My approach to tutoring is centred around building a strong foundational understanding and boosting confidence. I tailor each lesson to the individual student’s learning style, using clear explanations, active recall, and exam-style questions to reinforce key concepts. I aim to make sessions interactive and engaging, encouraging students to ask questions and think critically. Lessons typically last 60-90 minutes, with a mix of content review, practice questions, and time for addressing any tricky topics. I’ve recently completed A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths with top predicted grades, and I’m currently applying for Medicine. My tutoring is ideal for GCSE students or those in the early stages of A-Levels who want support from someone who’s recently been through the same process and understands what it takes to succeed.
