I am a patient, supportive tutor who specialises in helping students build confidence and achieve real progress in primary school English and maths, 11+ exam preparation, and GCSE Biology and Chemistry.

I have experience working as an Academic Peer Mentor at university, where I supported students with their studies, explained complex topics clearly, and helped them develop effective learning strategies. This role strengthened my ability to adapt explanations to different learning styles and to support students who may feel anxious or lack confidence in academic settings. In addition, I have previously tutored students preparing for the 11+ exams, helping them improve their English and maths skills, build exam confidence, and approach questions strategically.

For primary school students, I focus on strengthening core foundations such as reading comprehension, writing structure, spelling, grammar, number fluency, and problem-solving. Lessons are engaging, structured, and designed to make learning feel manageable and enjoyable.

For 11+ preparation, I provide targeted support in English and maths, covering key content, exam techniques, timed practice, and problem-solving strategies. I help students understand how to approach questions calmly and confidently, while keeping parents informed of progress.

For GCSE Biology and Chemistry, I draw on my strong academic background in the sciences. I hold a degree in Clinical Pharmacology and am currently studying Genomic Medicine at master’s level, which allows me to explain scientific concepts clearly and accurately, while focusing on the exam skills students need to succeed.

My lessons are always tailored to the individual student’s pace and needs, creating a calm, encouraging environment where questions are welcomed. My aim is not only to improve grades, but to help students gain confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning.
