Poppy Webb

I am a qualified primary school teacher with several years experience across different year groups, including EYFS (Reception), Year One, Year Two and Year Five. I have also worked with children doing their phonics screening and am very confident teaching phonics. I am also familiar with both of the major phonics schemes used in UK schools so can tailor any phonics tutoring to the scheme your child is familiar with.
Due to working in schools for several years, I am also familiar with a range of different learning needs, such as Autism, ADHD, dyslexia and so can work with individuals with a broad spectrum of needs and ensure they feel safe, supported and confident in their learning.
I also have a degree in English Literature, meaning I can work with both children or adults who need support learning English or proof reading work or pieces of writing.
I am able to make lessons fun and engaging and tailor them to the individual. As well as experience teaching younger children, I am also confident and would be able to help those who are trying to learn English as a second language.
For those who are local to me, I am also passionate about outdoor learning so can tailor a learning sessions to a child's needs or enjoyments.
I live in the Reading area and can travel locally or arrange for sessions online. As it is the school holidays, I am very flexible with days and times. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any queries or questions. I also have a registered DBS check.
