Po-Lin Hou

Hello, my name is Po! I am Classical Piano Performance graduate from Leeds Conservatoire, with a strong background in solo performance, ensemble work, and professional accompaniment. I am also a qualified music teacher with a PGCE in Music from Manchester Metropolitan University and QTS status, bringing recent, relevant classroom experience alongside my work as a private tutor.

With over four years of experience teaching one-to-one piano and music theory, both in-person and online, I specialise in helping students achieve their goals—whether that’s developing performance skills, preparing for ABRSM/Trinity exams, or building a solid understanding of music theory. My lessons are designed to be fun, structured, and efficient, ensuring students stay motivated while progressing towards their musical ambitions.

I have worked with pupils of all ages, from young beginners as young as four to adult learners in their seventies, and I tailor every lesson to meet individual needs. In addition to teaching, I am DBS checked and available as an accompanist for ABRSM or Trinity exam entries.
