My lessons are delivered online via Zoom or Google Meet and are structured, engaging and tailored to each student’s individual needs and exam board. I begin by identifying specific gaps in understanding, then design sessions around clear explanations, discussion and guided practice to build both confidence and academic precision.
For English Literature and Language, I specialise in coursework and essay feedback, focusing on structure, close analysis and meeting marking criteria. I have previously supported over 20 students with English coursework and exam preparation, helping them refine arguments, improve clarity and develop a confident academic voice. My own background includes achieving Grade 9s at GCSE, full marks in my English courseworks and 93% at A Level. For Religious Studies, I encourage students to explore ideas through questioning and debate to ensure they genuinely understand concepts rather than memorising content. As Captain of my secondary school's Philosophy Club, I mentored students from Years 9 to 13, guiding philosophical discussions and helping students articulate well reasoned arguments, a skill that translates directly into strong RS essays.
I am currently studying International Relations at King’s College London, where I develop strong skills in critical analysis, argument construction and evaluating complex texts and ideas. This background directly informs my approach to teaching these subjects as I can help students build nuanced interpretations, structure clear arguments and engage critically with language and context rather than relying on memorised responses. My academic training encourages independent thinking, confident discussion and precise written expression, all of which are essential for success at GCSE and A Level.
