I’m a professional Film Set Designer working behind the scenes on major productions including Disney, Marvel, Star Wars and Jurassic World. Alongside my industry work, I teach community life drawing classes for all ages and abilities, something that keeps my practice rooted in observation, experimentation and the joy of making. With a degree in Art & Design and a Fine Art scholarship at A Level, I’m passionate about helping students build confident, exciting portfolios and discover their own creative voice, particularly those building or refining their portfolios for GCSE, A Level, Foundation, or university applications.
My teaching approach centres around openness and experimentation. I believe creativity is unlocked through exploration, understanding your interests, instincts and visual language comes from making freely and without fear. We’ll work through engaging, hands-on exercises designed to stretch creative thinking and encourage new ways of making. My own Foundation year was transformative, helping me discover the core of my practice, and I aim to create that same sense of discovery for my students.
Alongside practical work, I place strong emphasis on discussion and reflection. Through open conversations, I help students better understand their thought processes and artistic decisions. This not only strengthens conceptual development and written theory work, but results in a more thoughtful, cohesive and confident portfolio.
I create a relaxed and supportive environment. While we will cover curriculum requirements thoroughly, I believe students produce their most meaningful work when they feel safe to experiment, express themselves and enjoy the process without pressure or judgement.
