My lessons are practical, structured, and adapted to each student’s goals and level. I begin by identifying what the student already understands, where they need support, and what they want to achieve. Lessons combine clear explanations, guided demonstrations, practical exercises, problem-solving activities, and constructive feedback.
I am a Computer Science Technologist and Engineer with forty years of experience in information-systems design and implementation, ranging from small business solutions to large-scale, complex systems. This extensive industry experience allows me to connect theory to real-world applications and explain how computing concepts are used in professional environments.
I can support students with computer science fundamentals, information systems, system analysis and design, programming concepts, algorithms, databases, software implementation, and logical problem-solving. I explain difficult concepts step by step, using practical examples and adapting my teaching style to the student’s experience and preferred way of learning.
I also hold TEFL and TESOL certifications and an OTHM Level Six Diploma in Teaching and Learning. My approach is patient, encouraging, and interactive. Students are always welcome to ask questions, make mistakes, and work through problems at a comfortable pace. My aim is not simply to help students memorise information, but to develop their confidence, technical understanding, and ability to solve problems independently.
