My lessons are individually tailored to each student's academic level, goals and areas for improvement. I teach and research at the University of Oxford, bringing university-level academic experience to a supportive and engaging teaching environment.
A typical lesson begins by identifying the student's priorities, whether these involve understanding difficult historical or political concepts, improving essay structure, developing analytical skills or preparing for examinations.
I combine clear explanations with discussion, guided exercises and constructive feedback. Rather than simply providing answers, I encourage students to develop independent thinking, confidence and the ability to construct persuasive, well-supported arguments.
For GCSE and A-Level students, I focus on subject knowledge, examination technique, source analysis and essay writing. University students can receive more advanced support with research methods, critical analysis, academic writing and dissertation planning.
Lessons are interactive, intellectually stimulating and adapted to each student's learning style and pace. My aim is not simply to improve examination performance, but to develop the skills and confidence that support lasting academic success.
Tuition is available online or in person in Oxfordshire.
