My lessons are tailored towards the students. With children I play games, sing songs and encourage movement during the lessons. I do like a visual aid such as a plastic tomato or some lego bricks! With older students however I often work with activity and grammar books and I have lots of worksheets too. Depending on the individual's requirements, we may focus on conversational skills although I do enjoy working on the nitty gritty of Spanish grammar too. I am fascinated by the roots of words and how some words sound similar in several languages. I welcome questions, even the challenging ones as I believe that we're never too old to learn more! Where possible I include elements of Hispanic culture in the learning as it brings the language alive to understand more about the people who speak it.
