My lessons are tailored to each individual student, ensuring a personalised and engaging learning experience. I teach both piano and singing to students of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to advanced learners preparing for ABRSM exams, performances, or auditions. Each lesson is carefully structured with clear goals, combining technical development, musical understanding, and creative expression.

In piano lessons, I focus on building strong foundations in posture, hand technique, reading notation, rhythm, and musical interpretation. For singing, I emphasise healthy vocal technique, breath control, tone production, and confidence in performance. Lessons often include warm-ups, focused skill development, repertoire work, and reflection to support steady progress.

I adopt a student-centred approach, adapting my teaching style and repertoire to suit each learner’s interests, whether classical, pop, or musical theatre. I believe that enjoyment and motivation are key to progress, so I create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel confident to explore and improve.

With a PhD in Music Education, a PGCE in Secondary Music, and professional performance qualifications (LRSM in Singing and LTCL in Piano), I bring both academic expertise and practical experience to my teaching. I also provide guidance for ABRSM exams, GCSE music, and performance preparation, with many students achieving excellent results.

Lessons are available both in-person and online, with flexibility to suit different schedules.
