My name is Paul, and I’m excited to be your online teacher.

My day job is a Youth and Young Offender Mentor in the Torbay area and at HMP Exeter and I have a passion for helping students learn and grow, and I’m here to make learning engaging, clear, and enjoyable. Whether you’re here to build new skills or deepen your understanding, I’m looking forward to supporting you every step of the way. Let’s make this a great learning journey together!

I tutor all SEND subjects from KS3 to Post-16 and mainstream KS3/4 English, English as a Second/Foreign Language, Work Skills, Environmental Studies, Social Sciences and Health & Social Care.

I have over six years of classroom experience in both further education and secondary KS3/4 with a focus on Special Educational Needs. Before returning to higher education in 2013, I was Hospitality Operations Manager for the Dartington Hall Trust and a Junior Officer on the M.V. Oriana for P&O Cruises (Europe & N. America).

I have always understood the position of trust I have been placed in and have therefore always put safeguarding first when making decisions. My personal pedagogy is to have the highest expectations of my learners and adopt a patient, caring and empathetic approach and treat each learner as an individual with personal challenges, interests and aspirations. Accordingly, I have found it rewarding and fulfilling to witness the students I have supported overcome barriers, grow in confidence and progress along their learning journey and beyond.
