I am a final year economics and politics student at the London School of Economics, hold a graduate offer as an economist, and achieved an A* in Economics at A-Level, alongside an A in maths and A in politics.

I believe that an A/A* in economics is achieved through understanding causal chains of theory and exam technique, but to best understand this theory, I link the economics course to real-world events. For example, how do Trump's tariffs impact global prices, and how do recent interest rate cuts relate to inflation? What are the real mechanisms that are at play here, and how are they conveyed in your course specifically?
