My lessons are highly personalised, interactive, and focused on building both confidence and long-term academic improvement. With over 450 hours of tutoring experience across Mathematics and Economics, I adapt every session to the student’s ability level, learning style, and academic goals. I have worked with students ranging from primary school through to GCSE and A-Level, including SEN students, and I focus heavily on creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

Typically, my lessons begin with a short review of previous content and any misconceptions from homework or past papers. From there, I introduce the core concept using clear step-by-step explanations before moving into guided practice questions and exam-style application. In Maths, I place strong emphasis on method, reasoning, and exam technique, while in Economics I focus on helping students structure high-level answers, develop chains of analysis, and apply real-world examples effectively. I also regularly use mini quizzes, worked examples, and targeted homework to reinforce learning between lessons.

A major strength of my tutoring is my ability to simplify difficult topics without oversimplifying them. I aim to ensure students genuinely understand why they are doing something, rather than simply memorising procedures. This has helped many students achieve significant grade improvements, including Economics students improving from E grades to B/A grades, and Maths students improving from grade 4 to grades 7–9.

Alongside subject knowledge, I also help students improve their organisation, revision strategies, and confidence under exam pressure. As a current PPE student at King’s College London predicted a First-Class degree, I understand the demands of high academic performance and bring that same structure and discipline into my lessons.

My teaching style is approachable but results-driven: I want lessons to feel engaging and enjoyable, while still maintaining high standards and clear progress toward the student’s goals.
