My lessons are tailored to each student’s level and goals, particularly whether they are preparing for GCSE or A-Level Spanish. I would begin by understanding the student’s current level and identifying the areas they need the most support with.
For GCSE and A-Level students, I would follow the relevant syllabus and create a structured plan covering the main topics and themes they need to know. Lessons would include regular revision of the oral component, including speaking practice, pronunciation and developing answers to common exam questions. I would also focus on grammar, vocabulary and key specification topics, making sure students understand how to use what they have learnt rather than simply memorising it.
I believe one of the best ways to learn a language is to connect it to real-life situations. Therefore, I would use real examples, conversations and everyday situations to help students apply their Spanish naturally and build confidence when speaking. I also have previous experience tutoring and supporting younger students at school, and I aim to make my lessons friendly, engaging and interactive. I would adapt the pace and activities depending on each student, while regularly reviewing their progress and focusing on the areas where they need the most improvement.
