My lessons are clear, structured and focused on making Biology easier to understand. I usually begin by asking a few questions to understand what the student already knows, where they feel confused, and what they want to improve. This helps me adapt the lesson to the student’s level instead of giving a one-size-fits-all explanation.
I then explain the topic step by step using simple language, diagrams, flowcharts and real examples. My aim is to help students understand the logic behind Biology, not just memorise facts. For example, in topics like cell biology, genetics, human physiology or ecology, I focus on connecting ideas so the student can see how the whole topic fits together.
After the explanation, I use questions, short tasks or exam-style practice to check understanding. I help students learn how to apply the concept in answers, avoid common mistakes and improve their exam technique. At the end of the lesson, I usually summarise the key points and suggest what the student should revise or practise next.
I have over 11 years of experience teaching Biology to senior secondary and post-16 students. My lessons are suitable for KS3, GCSE and A-Level Biology students, including those who need help with homework, revision, difficult concepts, exam preparation or confidence-building. My teaching style is patient, encouraging and focused on helping students feel more confident and organised in Biology.
