I am a highly experienced teacher with 6 years of experience teaching English to students age 10-19, and students of varying ability and interest in the subject. If you have SEND needs or have been homeschooled, I can adapt my teaching to your circumstances.
My lessons are adaptable depending on the needs of the student, whether you're looking for exam-focused content or a more fun/engaging approach to improving your English skills, I've got you covered. I use a combination of exam specifications, digital tools, worksheets, written activities, games and verbal practice.
I prefer the dynamics of the lesson to be informal and conversational, using first names and a friendly atmosphere, to make the learning environment comfortable and encouraging. This helps you feel safe in admitting where you struggle, making mistakes, and taking educational risks. Learning is most successful if you feel comfortable and confident!
As a highly qualified specialist, with a first-class MA in English Studies from the University of Nottingham, I can help students of any level achieve, make progress, and find the fun in English. This is a valuable subject that can offer you a lot; I am happy to help you unlock these skills.
I specialise in GCSE as a current English Lecturer for GCSE students, but can also deliver tuition for 11+, KS3, A Level and IB, across a range of exam boards.
Are you ready to improve your English grades? Let's get started!
