Often, students can be unsure in their reasoning, which may arise from a lack of knowledge or an inability to apply what they have learnt to exam questions. By identifying errors in scientific judgement, students are more likely to remember information taught in my lessons than through passive revision methods such as simply reading a textbook.

Having achieved top grades across GCSEs and A-levels and completed my second year of medical studies at the University of Cambridge, I understand both the academic content and exam techniques required to succeed.

In the first lesson, I would like to understand the student's academic goals and work through a practice example to establish their strengths and areas for improvement. From this, I will create a structured plan focused on building the student's knowledge, developing problem-solving skills, and ultimately helping them achieve better examination results.

I am available to teach A-level Biology and Mathematics, as well as GCSE Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. My lessons are interactive, and I encourage students to think through concepts rather than simply memorise information. Furthermore, I place a strong emphasis on exam technique to help students maximise the marks available to them. We will also work through practice questions and past papers to reinforce learning and understanding.

Ultimately, my aim is to improve students' enthusiasm for their subject while maximising academic performance. Although building confidence can take time, developing this confidence is often the key to excelling in a subject.
