My guitar lessons are relaxed, practical and completely tailored to you. I offer 1-to-1 lessons, giving us the time and flexibility to focus on exactly what you want to achieve with the guitar.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, an intermediate player, or looking to take your playing further, we’ll start by understanding your goals and musical interests. From there, I’ll create lessons around the areas that will help you progress the most.

Lessons can include learning your favourite songs, chords, scales, rhythm and timing, lead guitar, improvisation, technique, songwriting and developing your own sound. I believe learning should be enjoyable, so whenever possible, we’ll use music you actually like and want to play.

With 20 years of guitar-playing experience and professional experience working in the music industry, I can offer more than just technical instruction. I can help you understand how to approach the instrument, practise effectively, develop confidence, and apply your skills in a real musical setting.

Each lesson is interactive, with plenty of playing rather than simply listening to theory. I’ll demonstrate techniques, play alongside you, give you clear feedback and help you work through anything you find challenging.

My aim is to create a friendly, supportive environment where you can learn at your own pace, enjoy the process and see real progress from lesson to lesson.
