Hi, I'm Ovais — an English language and communication tutor based in India, with a background that blends formal classroom teaching and modern online instruction.

My Background
I'm TESOL/TEFL certified (120 hours) and have been teaching English and public speaking since 2015. I currently work as a Public Speaking Expert Teacher at PlanetSpark, an EdTech platform, where I coach students on confident communication, structured speaking, and language fluency. I also hold an MSW and a B.Sc. in Medical Sciences, which shape how I explain ideas — clearly, logically, and with real-world context. I'm fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu, so I can support students who benefit from cross-language explanations.

Lesson Format
My lessons are conducted online, one-on-one or in small groups, typically over video call. Each session usually runs 45–60 minutes and follows a simple rhythm:

A quick warm-up to build comfort and confidence
Focused practice on the day's skill (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, or speaking structure)
Interactive activities — roleplay, impromptu speaking prompts, or discussion — rather than passive listening
A short recap with clear, actionable feedback

Teaching Style
I focus heavily on speaking confidence and real communication, not just rote grammar. Many of my students come to me nervous about speaking up — in interviews, presentations, or everyday conversation — so I build lessons around practical, low-pressure practice with steady encouragement. I adjust pacing and content based on each student's level and goals, whether that's exam prep, conversational fluency, or professional communication skills.
