Oscar Wieczorek

I studied classical and jazz piano at Leeds conservatoire, and graduated with a first. Whiles't studying, I also made my own music (usually with Logic pro X or Ableton). Since graduating, I have been working in the music industry as a self - employed musician. I privately teach piano in my students homes and online, I have put on and hosted live music events in Leeds and London, I have also written, produced and recorded some music for TV adverts in professional studios as well as gigging around the UK as a jazz musician. I am a confident musician and people person with a passion for learning myself, as well as nurturing young talent.


I teach because I think it is extremely important to give back to the younger generation of musicians and inspire them with music. Being taught by some of the best musicians in the UK, prepared me for a life in music, I learned so much at conservatoire, and I would like to give back to young people taking music lessons, especially as I was so inspired as a young person in school by my music teachers. I think it’s so important that every pupil has the opportunity to try music and to be inspired by their teacher.

Some of my students are picking up from where they left off from years ago, rediscovering a lost talent, and many feel they have the means to practise and learn songs but would like to book lessons in to perfect songs, technique and note reading so they have the ability to continue to learn and play on their own at home. I have helped classical musicians to learn Jazz improvisation and how to read shorthand chords, and helped people who started with chords and songwriting to learn how to read music - a diverse range.
