My approach to tutoring is focused on identifying each student’s individual strengths and weaknesses to tailor lessons effectively. I begin by assessing what the student already understands about a topic, then build from there. Where necessary, I revisit foundational concepts to ensure a solid understanding before progressing to more advanced material.

I teach through clear explanations and worked examples, breaking down complex ideas into simpler terms that are easier for the student to grasp. I also adapt my explanations to suit the student’s way of thinking, helping them relate topics to things they already understand.

A key focus of my tutoring is exam technique. I help students understand how to structure answers to meet mark scheme requirements and highlight common patterns and “tricks” that exam boards use to award marks. This ensures students not only understand the content, but also know how to apply it effectively in exams.

Lessons typically last between 1–2 hours, depending on the student’s needs and preferences.

I tutor students working towards GCSEs and A-levels in Maths, Biology and Chemistry. I have previous experience tutoring GCSE Maths students, where I have helped students improve their grades by an average of two levels.

As a third-year medical student who achieved A* grades in Maths, Biology and Chemistry, I bring both strong subject knowledge and recent exam experience to my teaching.
