I have been teaching ESL and EFL English for some time, using a blend of book resources, props and visual aids to help keep my lessons interesting and engaging. Learning languages is a passion of mine and I like to pass this enthusiasm on to my students. I am happy to tailor the lessons to suit the student's own needs and what is appropriate for their learning outcomes, whether this is exam revision, using English for work or travel, or simply gaining speaking confidence through an emphasis on conversation and practical speaking exercises. I also like to use my drawing skills with younger learners and develop fun ways to help them learn vocabulary through pictures and visual imagery.
I have experience working with all ages and abilities, developing lessons for individuals and small classes. It is really rewarding for me to help students along their journey to learning another language - if you feel like you would benefit from extra English lessons, please do get in touch!
Talking about different topics is also a great way to improve your English, so let me know if there is anything you have a particular interest in (culture, current affairs, modern life, technology, hobbies and pastimes). Just simply having a chat and sharing ideas and opinions is a fantastic way to use spoken English.
As I currently teach from home, my lessons are delivered online, using platforms such as Zoom and Skype, and a variety of screenshare tools, internet sites and external resources.
