Onyx

Hello! My name is Onyx, and I am a BSc Genetics student at the University of Leeds with a strong passion for science and education. I enjoy helping students build confidence in their abilities and discover that learning can be both rewarding and enjoyable.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, learning style, and academic goals. Whether you need help understanding difficult concepts, improving exam performance, or developing effective study habits, I adapt my teaching approach to ensure lessons are engaging and productive. I believe that true learning comes from understanding ideas rather than simply memorising facts, so I focus on building strong foundations before moving on to more advanced topics.

During lessons, I break complex topics into manageable steps and explain concepts using clear examples and visual aids where helpful. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and actively participate in discussions to strengthen their understanding. I also use practice questions, exam-style exercises, and regular feedback to identify areas for improvement and track progress over time.
