My lessons are structured, supportive, and fully tailored to each student’s needs. I start by identifying the student’s current understanding and any gaps in knowledge, then build lessons around clear, step-by-step explanations that make maths easier to follow. I focus on making sure students understand the “why” behind each method, not just memorising formulas.
As an Aerospace Engineering student, I use a logical and analytical approach to problem-solving, which I bring into every lesson. This helps me break down complex maths topics into smaller, more manageable steps so students can build confidence gradually. I also adapt my teaching style depending on how each student learns best, whether they need more repetition, visual explanations, or exam-focused practice.
Lessons typically include a mix of teaching, guided examples, and independent practice. I encourage students to talk through their thinking so I can correct misunderstandings early and help them develop stronger problem-solving skills. This active approach keeps students engaged and ensures they are not just passively listening but actually learning how to apply methods themselves.
I also place a strong emphasis on confidence-building. Many students struggle with maths, not because they lack ability, but because they lack confidence. My goal is to create a relaxed and positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, as this is a key part of learning.
