Hi! I’m Omayma ?? I studied BSc Biochemistry and MSc Cancer, and I now work in cancer research, so I see how the science you learn in class is used in real life! At school I took Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Arabic A Levels, so I understand exactly what it feels like to be on the other side of the desk preparing for exams.
What makes me stand out is that I’m both a scientist and an experienced tutor. I’m used to breaking down complex ideas into simple, logical steps, and I bring that same approach to my lessons. I love my field because it’s all about understanding how the body works and using that knowledge to help people – and I want my students to feel that science and maths are meaningful, not just “things to memorise”.
In our sessions, I’ll:
-Explain topics clearly in a way that makes sense to you
-Go through exam-style questions and model answers
-Help you build confidence, not just marks
You’ll be listened to, supported, and never made to feel “behind” – we’ll improve together, at your pace.
My sessions are structured to build confidence, understanding, and independent thinking. Each lesson begins with a quick recap or diagnostic activity to identify gaps, followed by clear explanations, guided practice, and independent application. I tailor my approach to each student’s ability and learning style—using visuals, real-world examples, and exam-style questions to make concepts engaging and relatable.
Before every session, I review past work, set clear objectives, and prepare differentiated resources to ensure steady progress. I regularly assess understanding through informal quizzes, verbal questioning, and homework review, tracking progress over time using shared goals and measurable outcomes (e.g. topic mastery, grade improvements, or increased confidence in problem-solving).
To help students achieve their goals, I create a supportive and motivating environment that celebrates effort as much as achievement. I encourage curiosity, constructive feedback, and reflection so students feel ownership over their learning. Above all, I believe consistent encouragement, adaptability, and clear communication between tutor, student, and parent are key to sustained academic progress.
