I am an experienced Maths tutor with over 10 years of teaching experience, supporting students from KS3 through to GCSE, AS Level, A-Level, Further Maths, IB and international qualifications.

I teach across the major UK and international exam boards, including Edexcel, AQA, OCR A, OCR MEI, WJEC, Eduqas, CCEA, Cambridge International and the International Baccalaureate. This allows me to tailor each lesson closely to the student’s specification, course content and exam requirements.

My lessons are structured, supportive and personalised to the needs of each student. At the beginning of the lesson, I usually review previous work, homework or any topics the student has recently found difficult. We then focus on the main topic using clear explanations, worked examples and carefully selected questions that match the student’s level and exam board.

I encourage students to attempt questions independently before I step in with guidance. Rather than simply giving the answer, I use questions and prompts to help students identify the correct method for themselves. This helps them develop confidence, improve their mathematical reasoning and become more independent when working under exam conditions.

My lessons are interactive and student-focused. I use an online whiteboard to explain methods clearly, annotate exam questions and work through solutions in real time. Students are encouraged to show their own working, explain their thought process and ask questions whenever something is unclear.

I regularly use past papers, topic-based worksheets, exam-style questions and tailored revision materials. For students preparing for assessments, I focus on exam technique, time management, calculator skills, mark-scheme requirements, showing complete working and avoiding common mistakes that can lead to lost marks.

I work with students across a wide range of abilities. This includes students who need support strengthening their foundations, students aiming to move up several grades and high-achieving students working towards grades 8–9, A or A*. I adapt the pace, difficulty and teaching style of each lesson depending on how the student learns best.

For KS3 students, I focus on building strong core skills, confidence and a secure understanding of topics that will prepare them for GCSE Maths. For GCSE students, I provide focused support for both Foundation and Higher Tier. For AS Level, A-Level and Further Maths students, I cover Pure Mathematics, Statistics, Mechanics and Further Maths topics in depth.

Homework can be provided after each lesson to reinforce the topics covered. We then review the work at the start of the next session, correct mistakes and identify any remaining gaps in understanding.

I am patient, approachable and committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. My goal is for every student to leave each lesson feeling more confident, better prepared and clearer about how to improve.
