I have developed a range of teaching methods which have been supported by interactive learning resources; evidencing and demonstrating activity based teaching and learning, as well as creating student centred approaches where learners could effectively participate in and be responsible for their own learning with tutor guidance. I have practised this since 2005 and have used different methods of teaching such as role plays, videos, research and presentation, comprehension exercises, classroom discussions, case study and analysis, précis as well as power-point notes/dictation. These different styles of teaching were effective in addressing all learners at the same time as well as prompting and challenging their cognitive abilities in becoming familiar with and adopting new learner styles. The skill of progressive questioning was much in evidence during my lessons, which had the effect of guiding and directing the course of learning, inspiring and challenging the learners to develop critical thinking.
(a) Inclusive learning. The learning activities referred to above, classroom discussions and use of questioning skills were used to stimulate student interest and foster their participation during taught lessons.
