I have 8 years of experience working with children across all primary school ages, giving me a strong understanding of the different stages of the Curriculum for Excellence. For the past 3 years, I have specialised in Support for Learning, with a particular focus on supporting children with literacy and numeracy.

I am a patient, caring and approachable person who understands that every child learns differently. I believe it is important to build a positive relationship with each child and create a safe, encouraging environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their confidence.

My teaching approach is child-centred and tailored to each individual child. I adapt activities and explanations to suit their learning style, ability and pace, using engaging and practical methods to make learning enjoyable. I focus not only on developing academic skills, but also on building confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.

Most importantly, I love helping children recognise their strengths, overcome challenges and reach their full potential. Seeing a child’s confidence grow as they achieve something they once found difficult is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.
