My lessons are relaxed and conversational, I want to understand what you're trying to make or where you want to get to, and build from there. There's no fixed curriculum. Every session is tailored to you.
Depending on where you are, we might spend time on the fundamentals of a DAW, work through arrangement and structure, dig into sound design, or go through the process of mixing and mastering a track from start to finish. If you play an instrument or want to learn an instrument, we can work that in too. We can also go as deep as you want into the technical side like what compression actually does and when to use it, how to EQ effectively, building FX chains, signal flow, and all the processing tools that make a real difference to your sound.

I've been working professionally in music production for over 15 years writing and producing music for sync libraries, publishers, creative agencies and artists. That means the skills I teach are ones I use every day in real commercial work.

I work primarily in Ableton Live but I'm also experienced in Pro Tools and Logic Pro, so if you're already using one of those we can stick with it. If you're not sure which DAW to start with, I can help you figure out what's right for your goals.
