I offer friendly, supportive maths tutoring designed to help students build confidence and truly understand the topics they are learning. As a current National 5 Mathematics candidate, I have recently studied and completed the SQA curriculum, so I understand exactly what students are expected to know and the types of questions that appear in exams. Having achieved 96% in my Maths prelim, I am very familiar with effective problem-solving techniques and exam strategies that can help students improve their results.

My lessons focus on clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and plenty of practice with exam-style questions. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through problems at their own pace. Each session can be adapted to the student’s needs, whether that means reviewing class material, strengthening weaker topics, or preparing for tests and assessments.

To make lessons more engaging and easier to understand, I use digital software and visual tools to demonstrate mathematical ideas. This helps students see how concepts such as graphs, geometry, and algebra work in a clear and interactive way. Visualising maths often makes difficult topics much easier to grasp.

Because I have recently studied the same material myself, I can explain concepts in a way that feels approachable and relevant to students. I know the common mistakes learners make and the areas that often cause confusion, and I’m always happy to take the time needed to work through them.

My goal is to help students feel more confident in maths, improve their understanding, and achieve the best results they can.
