Hi, I’m Michael and I teach music online.
My lesson format: We meet 1-on-1 on Zoom/Google Meet for 45-60 minutes. First 5 minutes: we review what you practiced. Middle 40-50 minutes: we learn new concepts and apply them immediately on your instrument or voice. Last 5 minutes: I give you a clear practice plan for the week. You’ll also get a short recording/recap from me after each class.

Content dynamics: Every lesson is built around you. We don’t use boring textbooks only. If you want to learn piano, we’ll use songs you love - gospel, Afrobeats, pop, hymns. If it’s theory/vocals, I break it down step-by-step with examples from real songs. The goal is: understand the “why”, then play/sing it right away. Expect lots of practice, feedback, and encouragement. No judgment if you make mistakes - that’s how we learn.
My experience: I’ve been studying and teaching music for years. I specialize in music composition/vocals/AnR - pick yours, with a strong background in Afrobeats, gospel, and contemporary styles. I’ve taught [beginners/kids/adults] online, and my students move from “I can’t sing” to “I can play my first song” "i love my new voice" because I focus on patience + practical application.
My teaching philosophy is simple: music should be fun + understandable. If you leave my class confused, that’s on me, not you. Step-by-step breakdowns, no rush. My style: Patient, encouraging, interactive. You’ll play/sing every class. Homework is short + practical.
What kind of music do you enjoy? We can start there in your trial class."
