I am a trained composer currently completing a Master’s in Composition at King’s College London, with a strong track record of performed and award-winning work, including premieres by professional ensembles and recognition in national competitions. My experience spans choral, orchestral, chamber, and jazz composition, alongside a practical background as a percussionist, pianist, singer, and ensemble leader.

In lessons, I help students develop both creative confidence and technical control. You will learn how to generate and develop musical ideas, structure compositions effectively, and refine harmony, melody, and orchestration. I also guide students through notation, score preparation, and stylistic writing, drawing on real repertoire and your own projects.

I place particular emphasis on writing for voice and ensembles, helping students understand how music works in rehearsal and performance settings. My background working with choirs and instrumental groups allows me to give practical, real-world insight into how to write idiomatically and effectively for performers.

Lessons are interactive and focused on your music. We will analyse pieces you admire, apply those techniques in exercises, and develop your own compositions step by step. I provide detailed feedback, clear weekly goals, and support between sessions where needed.
