I am an Economics tutor with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students build confidence and clarity in economics. I hold a BSc in Economics and Statistics alongside an MSc in Economic Policy, with a focus on macroeconomics, economic policy, and applied econometrics.

I tutor a wide range of topics including microeconomics, macroeconomics, market structures, fiscal and monetary policy, economic growth, development, and introductory econometrics. My academic training allows me to explain both theory and real-world applications clearly, whether students are preparing for exams, coursework, or simply want to strengthen their understanding of key concepts.

I have previous tutoring experience teaching mathematics, science, and English to secondary-level students, which helped me develop a clear, structured, and patient teaching style. I also hold a TEFL teaching certificate, giving me additional experience in explaining complex ideas in an accessible and engaging way. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level and learning goals, using examples, diagrams, and step-by-step explanations to make economics more intuitive.

Alongside tutoring, I have professional experience in data analysis and banking, where I regularly translated analytical results into clear insights for non-technical audiences. This has strengthened my ability to communicate economic ideas simply and practically, and to relate abstract theory to real-world issues such as markets, pricing, and policy decisions.

A typical lesson begins with a short review of previous material or any questions you’ve been struggling with. From there, we focus on one or two key topics, such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, market structures, or economic policy. I explain concepts step by step, using simple language, diagrams, and real-world examples to make abstract ideas easier to understand. I encourage questions throughout, and we regularly pause to check understanding rather than rushing through material.

Lessons are practical and applied. We often work through exam-style questions, problem sets, or essays together, breaking down how to approach them, how to structure answers, and how to avoid common mistakes. If you prefer, we can also focus on building intuition first before moving into calculations or formal theory.
