I’m a friendly UCL Psychology student with a strong interest in Clinical Psychology, and I thrive on helping students unlock their potential while genuinely enjoying the learning process. My approach is shaped by patience, empathy, and a real passion for understanding how people think, learn, and overcome challenges.

What sets me apart is my ability to break down complex topics into clear, structured explanations and teach using evidence-based learning techniques such as spaced repetition, retrieval practice, active questioning, and past-paper analysis. My goal is always to build confidence, deepen understanding, and help students achieve the grades they’re aiming for — without feeling overwhelmed.

Subjects I Teach & How I Teach Them

Psychology: I focus on strong essay-writing, AO2/AO3 evaluation, exam-technique development, and research methods. I guide students in understanding theories, applying evidence, and crafting high-level arguments.

Biology & Chemistry: I prioritise conceptual clarity, synoptic thinking, and applying knowledge to unfamiliar scenarios. I help students structure their understanding so they can problem-solve effectively in exams.

Chinese: From beginner to advanced levels, I support students in building fluency across reading, writing, speaking, and listening through structured practice and immersion-based methods.

How I Structure Lessons
Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, learning style, and current level of confidence. A typical session includes:

A quick check-in: to understand what the student needs most that day.

Clear learning objectives: so we know exactly what we’re working toward.

Interactive teaching: using active discussion, guided questions, and worked examples.

Practice and application: through exam questions, mini-tasks, and problem-solving.

A concise recap: identifying strengths and setting small, achievable targets for next time.

My Feedback Style
My feedback is supportive, constructive, and designed to help students grow:

I highlight strengths to build confidence.

I give clear, actionable steps for improvement.

I offer written summaries when needed, including model answers, corrected work, and revision guidance.

I encourage students to reflect on their own progress, helping them build independence and long-term mastery.

I’ve worked with students from Year 7 to Year 12, supporting everything from foundational understanding to advanced exam preparation for GCSEs and A Levels. Whether a student needs structured revision, essay support, exam-technique coaching, or long-term academic mentoring, I adapt my approach to help them progress effectively, stay motivated, and feel confident in their abilities.
