My teaching approach is practical, structured and tailored to each student’s level and learning needs. I do not assume that every student learns in the same way, so I first assess their understanding through questions and short exercises to identify gaps in their knowledge.
Once I understand where the difficulty lies, I break the topic into smaller, manageable steps and explain each concept using simple language, worked examples and real-life applications where appropriate. For Mathematics and Physics, I place strong emphasis on understanding the reasoning behind a solution rather than simply memorizing formulas or procedures.
I normally use a “teach, practice, review” approach. I explain the concept, work through examples with the student, and then give them similar questions to attempt independently. I carefully review their work, identify mistakes and explain how to avoid them in future. As their confidence improves, I gradually introduce more challenging problems.
For students preparing for examinations, I also incorporate past-paper questions, timed exercises and exam techniques, helping them understand how to approach different question types and manage their time effectively.
Whether teaching one-to-one, in a group, online or face-to-face, my goal is to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and improving. With over 10 years of teaching experience, I have developed the ability to recognize common learning difficulties and adapt my approach to help each student make measurable progress.
