My lessons are designed to be interactive, supportive and tailored to each individual student. As a third-year medical student with an A in A-level Biology and a grade 9 in GCSE Biology, I have a strong understanding of the subject and enjoy helping others develop their knowledge and confidence.

Before or during our first lesson, I would take the time to understand the student's current level, strengths and the areas they find most challenging. From there, I would adapt my lessons to their individual needs and preferred way of learning. I understand that every student learns differently, so I am happy to explain topics in different ways until they feel comfortable and confident.

A typical lesson would usually involve reviewing a topic, breaking down any difficult concepts into manageable sections and using questions throughout to check understanding. I believe active learning is important, so lessons will be interactive rather than simply listening to me explain content. I also place a strong emphasis on exam-question practice, as this helps students apply their knowledge and become familiar with the style of questions they may face in their GCSE exams.

I have experience providing one-to-one tutoring to students at 11+ and GCSE level, as well as supporting my younger siblings with their GSCE studjes to achieve grades 8s and 9s. These experiences have helped me develop a patient, approachable and adaptable teaching style.

My aim is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to build their confidence and make Biology feel more manageable. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and working through difficult topics at their own pace.
