My lessons are conversational and interactive, built around each the student's real goals rather than a fixed textbook path. We typically start by identifying what you want to improve — whether that's exam performance, workplace communication, or everyday fluency — and structure lessons around that from there.

A typical tutoring session blends focused practice (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation) with genuine, open conversation on topics you're interested in, since I find students improve fastest when they're actually engaged and speaking naturally rather than just memorising rules. I give live, in-the-moment feedback during conversation, alongside more detailed notes on writing or specific errors you want to work on. Between sessions, I'm happy to share additional practice materials or resources tailored to what we've covered, so progress continues outside the lesson too. Lessons are relaxed but focused — I want you to feel comfortable making mistakes, since that's genuinely how progress happens.

I bring several years of tutoring experience across different learner types: I've helped GCSE students improve their grades by up to three levels through targeted exam preparation, and worked with adult professionals internationally on business communication, presentation skills, and conversational confidence to improve their English speaking skills. I also understand language learning from the inside — I moved to the UK as a child and taught myself English, largely through reading — so I bring real empathy and practical strategies, not just theory, to every single lesson.
