Nomaswazi Mkhonza

Hi there! I am Noma and have experience of 5 years tutoring Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and English. I am currently a science student so all the subjects I teach come as second nature to me, and I find it interesting to pass my knowledge down to my learners.

I am a 21 year old student who is in her final year of study for her first degree of many. I love learning new things and interacting with different people. I am primarily interested in cosmetics and science, which is what fuelled my drive to become a plastic surgeon one day.

My approach is very interactive. I like treating my classes as though it were a conversation, where we both engage with the content to maximise information retention for the learner. I use flash cards, study notes and create my own worksheets for each lesson, and do many worked examples with students to ensure that they understand the content.

I am well experienced in teaching Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and English (foreign language), and I am comfortable teaching content for the following examination boards:
- IEB (Independent Examinations Board)
- CAPS (Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement)
- AQA (Assessment and Qualifications Alliance)
- Edexcel
