English lessons are taught to learn the different parts of speech (articles, verbs, nouns, subject, and other basics) as well as how to navigate changes (like a vs an or the use of helping verbs). I use a variety of methods as everyone has a different learning style. I also change methods depending on if it is a one on one setting or if it is a group class. I like to use work sheets, games, allowing the students to create as much as possible to help apply the concept to their own experiences. When a student is able to create based on their experiences, it not only applies the concept to real life scenarios for that student, it also brings the topic to life for that student. This means that motivation to continue increases, as well as the confidence of the student.

I have over 15 years of experience in teaching all age ranges. I have taught children in preschool ages, children in primary school, and in secondary school. I also have experience as a professor in college classroom settings. I have taught 1:1, in a tutor type manner, and in classrooms from as small as 4 students to as large as 30 students. I have taught online, via zoom, and in the traditional classroom.

Education is empowering. The more we learn, the more we grow. I am passionate about empowering others to lead better lives and enjoy viewing the excitement in a student - no matter the age - when that student grasps a concept.
