My lessons would be informative as we talk about the implications of the Literary piece you’re studying. We’d talk about what it is in particular that you struggle with and we’d work on tackling it together. The last thing I’d want is a student to fail because they felt alone in their revision. We’d also work towards romanticising your studies so that not only do you find it easier, but you actually enjoy the subject. One of the key skills you’d learn is resourcefulness. Not all your content is accessible through internet and you’ll have to find news ways to find these sources of information and I’ll gladly be of assistance. I took A level English Literature after receiving high 7’s in both English Literature and Language and have always had a skill in creative writing. Reading has also always been a passion of mine and it is someday a dream to release a horror novel or two. Our dynamics would definitely be friendly and more conversational rather than me talking at you, I’ll be asking what you think, or how a certain piece of writing made you feel. I’ll ask for your opinion and thoughts and we’ll work together to regulate them into an exam worthy answer. During our lessons, we’ll be writing together, reading together and even learning new content and concepts together, making sure you don’t feel alone or overwhelmed in any way. My lessons would differ in the sense that I can relate to the stress of exams as I myself have just sat A levels and therefore wouldn’t put that pressure on you to get the work done. My formats wouldn’t be fixed as people learn in different ways; some learn through mind maps while others prefer PDF’s and bullet point. Overall, I’d help to give a greater understanding of English and show you how to find the beauty and symbolism in English. :)))
