I employ a wide variety of teaching materials and teaching methods to keep your attention and focus. I use online vocabulary games to fix it in your memory so you never forget it. I record listenings at the appropriate level to develop your listening skills and play them back slowly and repeated until you can clearly understand speech at normal speeds. I adapt standard textbooks and provide exercises from a wide variety of sources until you have nailed grammar patterns, the use of new words and what they mean.

I methodically introduce more and more structured speaking skills until you can fully form sentences spontaneously, giving you amply time to make mistakes, correct them. I use "drilling" techniques to automate language retreival in "chunks", from which you can easily choose when you speak.

Generally, my lessons start with a short revision of key ideas from the last lesson, and the lesson will focus on developing necessary knowledge for skills practise (speaking, listening, reading). For exams, I will also teach Writing skills at the appropriate level, but that is a secondary focus because above all, your speaking skills need to be clear and accurate.

I tend to pitch lessons a little above your actual level to motivate you. Crucial vocabuarly and grammar are practised repeatedly until you don't need to think about it. This is the necessary level for good language production.

My Spanish teaching experience is derived mainly from GCSE learners, but I teach adults as well, whether that be out of personal interest, or if you are someone who wants to take their current Spanish to the next level quickly.
