I am currently a student studying modern languages, looking to become a private tutor. I was brought up in Spain and England, therefore I'm bilingual in English and Spanish. I would like to teach people Spanish in a way that's much heavier on speaking and improving fluency, learning how to say things in a natural way as a Spanish native would.

The lessons would begin with more grammar and vocab-heavy, and then move into practice of the learned vocabulary and grammar in that same lesson. I think it's extremely important to get into the speaking aspects early on, as at the end of the day thats why we learn new languages, to communicate.

Over multiple months, we will go over many themes to build a thematic vocabulary for real-world situations, so that the Spanish learned is something you can actually use. Starting from conversational introductions, small talk, asking for help, building all the way up to being able to debate about a topic.

I believe language learning is much more rewarding if the focus is on learning language specific to your interests so you, as the student, can decide on themes and subjects youd like to study, as you should learn vocasbulary that is important to your life that you will actually speak about.

I am currently on a year abroad in Paris, but I will be going back to Norwich next academic year to continue my studies for those who would like in person lessons in the future.
