My lessons are designed to be engaging, interactive and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence and developing their English skills.

?? Lesson Content

Lessons can cover:

* English Language: Reading comprehension, language analysis, creative writing, descriptive writing and transactional writing.
* English Literature: Understanding key themes, character analysis, quotation analysis, essay structure and exploring writers’ methods.
* Exam Preparation: GCSE exam techniques, time management, answering exam questions effectively and understanding mark schemes.
* Essay Writing: Developing analytical skills, structuring paragraphs and writing clear, well-developed arguments.

Each lesson follows a structured approach to maximise progress:

1. Recap & Starter Activity
We begin by reviewing previous learning, addressing any difficulties and identifying the focus for the session.

2. Teaching & Explanation
I explain the topic or skill using clear examples, model answers and step-by-step guidance to help students understand what examiners are looking for.

3. Guided Practice
Students work through questions and activities with my support, allowing them to apply what they have learnt and ask questions along the way.
