My sessions focus on the both the learning and academic needs of the student. I am passionate about developing pupil confidence in Maths and English in an engaging and fun way. This enables my pupils to become more focused and less anxious about exam or school entrance pressure. I build mathematical skills by using proven methods which enable pupils to rapidly build confidence and agility in numeracy and allows them to apply them to more complex mathematical operations. As a passionate linguist, I want my pupils to become confident and ambitious writers. I use visual stimulus to engage reluctant writers and encourage vocabulary rich conversations to spark enthusiasm. We decode comprehensions by through immersive reading; how would you feel? how do you know? what would you do?
I educate for confidence and excellent outcomes by putting the needs of the pupil first. I use regular ongoing assessment to ensure that my lessons are appropriately pitched to the student as well as the needs of the entrance examination. Educate through confidence, driven by success.
