My lessons are calm, friendly, and supportive. We usually start by talking about what you’re learning at school and what feels easy or tricky, so the lesson can be matched to your school curriculum. I always chat with my students about what learning style works best for them, how they like to learn, and what I can do to support their learning. I explain new ideas step by step, making sure everything is clear before moving on.
To make learning fun and easier to understand, I use short videos, interactive online worksheets, and fun learning games. We practise together using activities that don’t feel like tests, and I always include time for questions and revision. Lessons can focus on homework help, school topics, exam practise, or building confidence in English, maths, or science. I also use school curriculum materials and past paper questions to make sure lessons support what students are doing in class.
Lesson include plenty of guided practise, where we work through questions together, as well as time for students to try independently with gentle support. I have lots of experience tutoring one-to-one, with students learning English as an additional language from ages 6-17, so I am very patient and always adjust t pace to suit the student.
Most importantly, my lessons are a safe and encouraging pace. Mistakes are part of learning, and I focus on building confidence, curiosity, and a positive attitude towards school, so students finish each lesson feeling supported and proud of their progress.
